Create Assignment
Create Assignment is used to automate a work order assignment based on a defined event.
Labor Assignments specify the individual or contractor that should be assigned when the criteria for a rule is met. Multiple labor resources can be listed for auto-assignment. Maintenance Connection creates assignments for all labor resources listed, unless the record is not available for auto-assignment or is designated only as a backup resource.
The Rules Manager is one of several methods for creating an automatic assignment in Maintenance Connection. Auto-assignments of specific individuals can be made based on the procedure in use or the asset associated with the work order.
The Rules Manager provides an additional method for creating auto-assignments, allowing you to define specific criteria on which the auto-assignment should be based. For example, a rule could be defined to automatically assign a specific technician whenever an urgent work order was created for a particular asset or asset classification.
